Established in 1947 by Mario and Martha Ventura Sr., the Mars Cheese Castle had humble beginnings in a small corner store in downtown Kenosha. Over the years, their dedication and hard work led to a relocation near the intersection of Highways 41 and 142, laying the foundation for the thriving enterprise we know today. Anticipating future growth, Mario and Martha strategically acquired the adjacent land west of their store, foreseeing the expansion of I-94. In 2011, their foresight culminated in the realization of a cherished dream, the construction of a new, castle-like establishment. Despite facing challenges, Mario and Martha steered the business until their passing in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Today, their legacy is upheld today by the third generation of their family. As one steps into Mars Cheese Castle, they enter not just a retail space, but a storied legacy built on family values, hard work, and a vision that spans generations.
