Official Rules

1. By entering The Ultimate Midwest Tailgate Competition 2017, the entrant acknowledges and agrees to abide by the following contest rules.

2. Contestant must be 21 years of age or older and must be able to provide a valid id to Sponsor (Mars Cheese Castle).

3. There is a $25 entry fee to reserve your spot and must be paid at time of entry with completed contestant form. The fee will be $35 after Sept 22, 2017

4. Sponsor reserves the right to change/add to contest rules at any time, for any reason, without notice, in their sole discretion.

5. Contestants must be available for the entire designated contest time on date of event, sponsors reserve the right to name an alternate winner in case of this situation.

6. Odds of being selected as a contestant depend on the number of entries received, which shall be determined in the sole discretion of the judges.

7. Winners will be determined the day of the event by judges chosen by sponsor.

8. Contestant must have working fire extinguisher.

9. Contestant must have own grill, water, food (protein/vegetable item), electricity and all items needed for competition, compliant to health code guidelines (https://datcp.wi.gov/Pages/ Programs_Services/FoodCode.aspx).

10.Food sampling for judges must also be within state food code (see web address in rule 9 above)

11. Sponsor will provide waste receptacles and Mad Dog & Merrill sauce needed for competition

12.In the event of a tie in any category, the winner will be decided with a game of Baggos!

7am-9am: Sponsor Set Up
9am-11am: Contestant Set Up Time
10am-12pm: Live Music
12pm-1pm: Mad Dog & Merrill Cooking Demo
12pm-2pm: WIIL Rock Live Broadcast
2pm-4pm: Live Music
1pm-2pm: Judging
2pm-3pm: Judge Tallying
3pm: 2017 The Ultimate Midwest Tailgate Winners Announced
3:30pm: Door Prizes/Raffle Prizes Announced for attendees
